Family Home Evening

I found this quote a while back and it was very profound to me.

I decided that I was going to try harder at having regular Family Home Evenings and that I was going to put in a lot more effort for our lessons.

I grew up with a very crafty Mom. She tirelessly made up FHE packets when we were young. Those were the best. They had a Theme, Scripture, Story, Game and a Snack all in one spot. You could just go and grab a packet and your FHE was planned and ready to go.

Since having my own Kidamerinks, my Mom has made some FHE packets up for us and we rotate through them like crazy. I LOVE them!! And, I'm planning to make lots more and share them with you on here.

While searching for certain items in an upcoming packet that I will share with you, I stumbled across the COOLEST FHE Site Ever!!!

It is called, "Hatch Patch Creations." She has put together an amazing amount of FHE packets, just like the ones my Mom made and sells the files to you for a small fee. Like, a ridiculously small fee. Some are about $1, while others are $3.50.

I am going to make EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE!!

They are super cute and all of the work is done for you. All you have to do is color them (if you buy the Black & White version) and then Laminate them if you choose to do so.

I BELIEVE in LAMINATING! :)

And, wanna hear something else that is really cool?

Right now at The Idea Door (another great site with lots of cool ideas for FHE) they are letting you download one of Hatch Patch's Creations for FREE!!

Click Here for the Link and enjoy your Free Download.

Here's what you get... I'm so excited about Hatch Patch!!

The Packet is called, "A Tall Tale of Telling the Truth." It comes with the cutest story about a little Crab who tells a lie, and then another, and then another until it comes crashing down and he has to deal with the consequences. The clipart is so cute that goes along with the story. There is also a fun little game about weaving a web of lies, a scripture to go along with the theme and a recipe for a fun little snack.

It is the Black and White Version that you get to download, but I have to say I had a lot of fun coloring the pictures and laminating them. I (heart) laminating!!

Aren't these story pictures adorable??
I love, love, LOVE this! I cannot wait to share this with my family for FHE.

Go download this packet and check out the Hatch Patch Creations Website for MORE!!
