Gravity Grab Bag

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: A variety of soft everyday items, an unbreakable container.

  • Gather an assortment of soft objects of different weights: A scarf, a ball, socks, diaper, or a small colorful stuffed animal etc.
  • Place your baby on the floor.
  • Put an unbreakable container on the floor next to where baby is sitting.
  • One at a time, hold the objects up in the air just in front of baby. In a high-pitched voice, say, "So HIGH!"
  • Drop the object so that it falls into the container. In a low voice, say, "So LOW!"
  • See if baby can fish the object out and drop it in again.
BENEFIT: Further enhances visual tracking skills, understanding of cause and effect, and eye-coordination.

**SING-A-LONG FUN**

A TISKET, A TASKET

A-tisket, a-tasket
A green and yellow basket.
I wrote a letter to my love
And on the way I dropped it.

I dropped it; I dropped it
And on the way I dropped it.
A little boy (girl) picked it up
An put it in his (her) pocket.
